PHIL JAMES is Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of James Young Entertainment, a premier motion picture company. He possesses a solid background in producing, marketing and promoting entertainment projects.

Mr. James oversees the company’s valuable entertainment operations and is responsible for it’s distribution agreements, global technology and the strategic oversight for all of the company’s award winning feature films: including ABFF’s “Best US Film” and “Audience Choice Award” winner, ONE WEEK. The hilarious dark comedy, REDRUM, the insightful and profound C’MON MAN, as well as the company’s latest feature and winner of “Best Narrative Feature” and “Best Director” the romantic late-coming of age charmer, BACHELORS.

As CEO of James Young Entertainment, Mr. James was instrumental in the marketing and selling of the company’s original script “STEP IN THE NAME OF LOVE” starring Usher Raymond to MGM Studios, he is a driving force in the company and employs his belief that constant and progressive momentum is the key to longevity in this ever changing entertainment industry.

Amongst his many projects, Mr. James is currently in post-production with the company’s first original poignant and relevant documentary “THEY DON’T GIVE A DAMN,” and the company’s first awe-inspiring animated feature “CHANCE”

Mr. James is a Kappa Alpha Psi graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago. He lives in Los Angeles California, he is also famous for coining the company’s motto:
